LYRICS: Once upon a time I walked Past places we used to go I saw that things are different now The unfamiliar faces show Folks think that I’ve lost my mind I’ve only lost my place in time And dream of carefree days so long ago Yes, yesterday’s a memory Of the way life used to be Lazy walks through forests green And crazy talk of moon machines They seem so real – and yet I know That ancient world died long ago And I’m trapped in an Old man’s foolish dreams While a young man sits inside me Staring blindly back through time Reliving lives I’d long since left behind Remembering – once upon a time And I remember moonlit nights With a girl so close beside me And I loved her and she was always There to love and guide me The summers passed – September came We made love in the autumn rain By the time the winter winds blew She had left me But if young girls lived forever She’d have never had to die Looking back I sit and search my mind Remembering love – once upon a time This backward look at life, I know Must seem a strange condition But I remember simpler times When people took time livin’ You can take your rocket planes And instant love – and endless change I’m content with ghosts and apparitions But if young men lived forever I’d have never let her die Looking back I sit and search my mind And dream of her – once upon a time

LYRICS: Like a dream he comes to her Love comes to her – joy she’s never felt before September and she’s lovin’ life a whole lot more She can take his hand and smile and understand Love is more than just a game – oh, sweet September love will never ever seem the same When he smiles she’s alive When he’s gone – she just dies But now somewhere deep inside Her love lives on Now the dreams return to her Love comforts her the way he once did before December he ain’t never comin’ back no more But life goes on though he’s long long gone Her love is all that still remains – oh, dark December – rememberin’ just ain’t the same When he smiles she’s alive When he’s gone – she just dies But now somewhere deep inside Her love lives on

After All 03:48
LYRICS Lately I’ve been thinkin’ hard About this old heart of mine Wonderin’ ‘bout the good old days When we’d wander off any place or time And you know, you always seemed to know How to reach my soul never ever dreamin’ That someday you’d just up and go Now I’m standin’ in the pourin’ rain Wishin’ things could somehow be the same But you’re never comin’ back again – after all Well I started out early this mornin’ startin’ over again You know, I really can’t remember any time I’ve cried so hard – anywhere or when ‘Cause you know I never ever found The right words to say, no, I never ever showed you What I was feelin’ and now you’ve gone away See me standin’ in the pourin’ rain Wishin’ things could somehow all be changed But you’re never comin’ back again – after all See me standin’ in the pourin’ rain Wishin’ things could somehow all be changed But you’re never comin’ back again… Well, I dreamed I saw the armies marchin’ In a great golden flame Angels all around me with dark clouds partin’ askin’ ‘”What’s this warrior’s name?” As they turned around to tell me I swear I saw the lightnin’ begin The gates of heaven opened And there you were just walkin’ in See me standin’ in the pourin’ rain Knowin’ things can never be the same, still I know I’ll someday I’ll see you again, after all Yes, I’m – standin’ in the pourin’ rain Knowin’ things will someday be the same, for I know we’ll be together again – after all BACKSTORY Song composed in remembrance of the writer's father during the evening of 15 March 2008 following Memorial Services that day for David W. Gathman (22 November 1916 - 11 March 2008).

LYRICS Once upon a time – so long ago Our “Greatest Generation” stood When they were called to go They waged our nation’s wars across the sea Standing tall for freedom they fought for you and me On the circle goes – brave young men That no one knows freedom only lives Where courage grows – too many gone away But freedom stood and stands today A grateful nation salutes them every day Returning home our young men soldiered on Rebuilt their lives built their families and Built a nation strong and all around the world For all to see – America alone stood standing Tall and proud and free On the circle goes – such brave young men And now we know freedom only lives Where courage grows – so many gone away But freedom stood and stands today A grateful nation remembers every day Now all too soon a new threat to defend Terror strikes and courage calls They’ll answer once again Free men and women brave have heard the call Strong and fearless Americans will sacrifice their all On the circle goes – for generations Now we know freedom only lives Where courage grows – and now once again Today courage calls they’re on their way A grateful nation we thank them every day The circle goes on BACKSTORY: This song was written in 2005 and is performed in honor of all of America's "Greatest Generation" fallen heroes and veterans – especially for two WWII combat veterans: brothers David W. Gathman (U.S. Navy, Pacific Theatre Solomon Islands) and Robert F. Gathman (U.S. 3rd Army, Patton's March Across Europe); as well as "The Latest Generation" of America's combat veterans – especially, Aaron B. Taylor (U.S. Navy, Persian Gulf War) and Thomas C. LYRICS Babe, I long to hold you close Just one more time tonight to feel your Arms around me – the fire’s burnin’ bright And lookin’ up I wish I may dear God I wish I might – have one more wish I’m Wishin’ for – just one more time tonight I hear those far-off distant guns a-thunderin’ I hear the drums – the sounds of war You’ve been sent to guard our land And I’m tryin’ to understand Today they said you won’t be back any more But now thinkin’ back rememberin’ all you told me I feel you close though you’re so far away And little John is fine, I’ll tell him when it’s time Our baby boy turned one year old today Babe, I long to hold you close Just one more time tonight To feel your arms around me The fire’s burnin’ bright And lookin’ up I wish I may Dear God I wish I might Have one more wish I’m wishin’ for Just one more time tonight The last time when you held me I remember Your strong and gentle smile so soft and true Your tender touch that night Made everything all right, you said “True love lives forever” – and I knew But now they say you won’t be home to hold me And I’ll never see your sweet, sweet smile again Still our love lives on In the heart of our young son One day he’ll get to know you – but until then Babe, I long to hold you close Just one more time tonight to feel your Arms around me – the fire’s burnin’ bright And lookin’ up I wish I may dear God I wish I might – have one more wish I’m Wishin’ for – just one more time tonight BACKSTORY: This song was written in 2008 and is performed in honor of the sacrifice of all of America's combat veterans and fallen heroes – as well as their wives and husbands, sweethearts, children, parents, and families. The nation owes you a debt we can never repay. Inspired by the service of LCPL Thomas C. Gathman, USMC.

LYRICS & NARRATIVE: Time Time will tell you Time will make our dreams come true Time for sharing all those dreams we knew Why Why I wonder Time will slowly fade away Just time enough to say I love you Time was a savage traveler Lurking far from the frenzied crowd With passions ablaze, with mysteries graced He uttered her name out loud Yet clutching the past too tightly He wept for a future unseen When out of the dark and gathering mist A vision emerged as a dream “Weep not, my dearest," She whispered, and tenderly called his name “Tomorrow is past, the future is lost Only our love remains He who would cling to what’s come before Must struggle to hold it now No man is so rich he can buy from the past What heaven must never allow...“ ONCE UPON A TIME – (LYRICS) Once upon a time I walked past places we used to go I saw that things are different now – the unfamiliar faces show Folks think that I’ve lost my mind – I’ve only lost my place in time And dream of carefree days so long ago Yes, yesterday’s a memory Of the way life used to be Lazy walks through forests green And crazy talk of moon machines It all seems so real – and yet I know That ancient world died long ago And I’m trapped in an old man’s foolish dreams While a young man sits inside me Staring blindly back through time Reliving lives I’d long since left behind Remembering – once upon a time And I remember moonlit nights with a girl so close beside me And I loved her and she was always there to love and guide me The summers passed – September came We made love in the autumn rain By the time the winter winds blew she had left me But if young girls lived forever She’d have never had to die Looking back I sit and search my mind Remembering love – once upon a time This backward look at life, I know Must seem a strange condition But I remember simpler times When people took time livin’ You can take your rocket planes And instant love – and endless change I’m content with ghosts and apparitions But if young men lived forever I’d have never let her die Looking back I sit and search my mind And dream of her – once upon a time Once upon a time – once upon a time Slowly her story continued Giving voice to her warning clear “Time is a heartless destroyer,” she whispered “Do not be misled, my dear The enemy ever is prowling seeking out whom to deceive Time is a cruel companion which only the wise disbelieve "The past is illusion, escape it you must Only then can we ever be free Then discover tomorrow is already gone Whatever will be will be Hold close what you hear from me…” TIME – (LYRICS) Time Time will tell you Time will make our dreams come true Time for sharing all those dreams we knew Why Why I wonder Time will slowly fade away Just time enough to say I love you Once upon a time – far away You were mine said you’d always stay We touched the sun but somehow missed the sign Northern lights flashed – restless wind Ooh babe, let’s go back again But you’re gone – somewhere lost in time Time Time will tell you Time will make our dreams come true Time for sharing all those dreams we knew Why Why I wonder Time will slowly fade away Just time enough to say I love you Someday soon – don’t know when Gonna find our own hearts again Caribbean lovers – wild romantic ride Southern Cross – island nights Cool trade winds – aurora lights But you’re gone – sailing off in time Time No time left No time to make those dreams come true Lost the time for spending time with you Why – why I wonder Time has only slipped away Just time enough to say I love you Sailing on…you were mine… Say adieu…once upon a time… Sailing on…sailing on… The passion she stirred now gripped him He reached for her shadow pale But the words which she spoke nearly broke him Yet, she gently continued her tale “What really is time…” she wondered aloud “Only a madman’s scheme For love only knows the sorrow which grows From a life which is lived unseen “For so long before us tomorrow has churned Consumed in yesterday’s flame Stories unspoken, lessons unlearned Days we can never reclaim We’re just “Time Travelers” lost in the game We’ve only ourselves to blame” JENNY LYNN – (LYRICS) Jenny Lynn’s a lady and she stole my heart And once upon a time – she was mine And we were young and had forever and so together We shared the summer time – she was mine But summer turns to autumn – and then Blow the cold gray skies of winter time Jenny Lynn I love you and before I told you The angels called you home on your own Leaving me to sit and wonder where the summer stays Now that you’ve gone – all alone Leaving me to dream about you Waiting for my heart to start again Jenny Lynn Midnight shadows falling – angel voices calling once again Stars can’t hide forever and soon we’ll be together Jenny Lynn Midnight shadows falling – angel voices calling once again Stars can’t hide forever and soon we’ll be together Jenny Lynn Jenny Lynn’s a lady and she stole my heart And once upon a time – she was mine And we were young and had forever and so together We shared the summer time – she was mine Leaving me to live without her Waiting for the sun to shine again Jenny Lynn Hourglass memories remembered Pass through the sands of time Like wounded and bone-weary warriors Battered and beaten – and blind Sundials twist, oh, so slowly Embraced by the heart’s raging wind Remnants eternal descending Knowing not when to begin Eons drift on without end “Now love, ’tis time I must leave you You’ll find me again in time The passions we knew live on ever true Possessions of yours and mine Timeless we yearn as eternities turn Our futures already cast Wandering, lost, and forever alone Our lives just a dream which can’t last For we are tomorrow’s past…” Time No time left No time to make those dreams come true Lost the time for spending Time with you Why Why I wonder Time has only slipped away Just time enough to say I love you

about

“Time was a savage traveler…”

AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY THROUGH TIME. Following rapidly on the heels of their landmark “Acoustic Rain” project, this, their latest full 12-song album, once again represents something new from The Front Porch Country Band. “Time Traveler” features many of the band’s hallmarks – sensitive song-styling and soaring 6-part harmonies. But in a noted departure from the all-acoustic performances and spare production values which characterized the band's previous release, this new album offers richly-layered production elements reminiscent of some of the great breakthrough sounds in the history of rock and pop. "’Bridge Over Troubled Water' and ‘MacArthur Park’ come to mind,” according to one reviewer.

The Front Porch Country Band has become known worldwide for its “Original American Country” – creating and producing original songs, which continue to expand the boundaries of what many define as country music. Since spontaneously forming in the aftermath of the 30-ton meteor-strike which landed within ear-shot of their remote Pennsylvania recording studios in 2001, this band has traveled the globe as headliners, performing on the world’s greatest stages, and dazzling audiences with incomparable song-writing and live performances. Now, “Here they go again – and just in time.”

“We’ve all experienced emotional scars and wounds resulting from the passage of time. As a result, we’re often left to wonder and in some ways marvel at the strange nature of time – especially when it impacts our most personal experiences of love and loss. Now comes this arresting new album of original music which deeply explores the tender mysteries of how we’re all touched and changed as we journey through time…”

Stories unspoken. Lessons unlearned. Days we can never reclaim. We’re just “Time Travelers” lost in the game. Enjoy!
