"SANTA ROSA SOUND." They say most legends have their origin in fact. If true, residents of California’s Sonoma Coast region will be
well-advised to remain on the look-out for this mysterious
night-time rider. New Release!

(Spoken): “In the Sonoma Coast region – the legend is still told – of a mysterious rider whose ghost still rides in the California foothills of old Santa Rosa.”

Now, there was a time long ago when freedom would not sound
With liberty an ancient dream but nowhere to be found
‘Til the day Santa Rosa rode into town

Then a call went up across the land, “We’ll set the captives free”
And every woman, child and man who yearned for liberty
Heard the sound – the call of freedom
(Spoken): “From the High Sierra – right on down to the sea”

Oh, Santa Rosa through the darkness ridin’ town to town
Oh, Santa Rosa callin’ out to everyone he found – all around
And they heard the call of Freedom with the Santa Rosa Sound

And the call released the captives they signed a great decree
But vigilance was needed to keep the people free
To this today – (Spoken): “After all these years
It still comes down to you and me”
