SONG LYRICS: ECHOES OF YOUR LOVE I still hear the echoes of your voice softly calling Calling to me one last time Somehow in that moment as the world came down around you The voice you needed most to hear was mine All up and down these concrete canyons Through the open skies far above You were calling to me one last time And whispering your love They say our dreams are echoes of hearts that feel a longing Babe I long to hold you close tonight Every night I'm dreaming you're still lying here beside me Now nothing in my world feels right But I know someday the skies again will open And you'll hold me close in heaven far above 'Til then you're calling to me and I still hear the echoes of your love Thanks for calling to me one last time and whispering your love, yes You're still calling to me and I still hear the echoes of your love Echoes of your love...echoes of your love...echoes of your love AMERICAN SKIES Oh, say - say, can you see Flying high Still flying free Over hearts Still strong and true Under skies Red white and blue Can you see - here hand in hand Sea to sea United we stand Now as one Our Nation will rise Under free American skies Oh, say - say, can you see There she waves Still flying free Now as one One nation will rise Under free American skies Oh, say - say, can you see There she waves Still flying free... AMERICA STANDING TALL The whole world still remembers - the 7th of December America's bright blue skies turned red with fire Over calm Pacific water - a place they call Pearl Harbor No warning came, 1941 Then freedom called a nation the "Greatest Generation" Stood as one America heard the call When the war was finally over the whole world watched in wonder at America standing straight and proud and tall And America's still standing tall tonight With freedom's beacon shining strong and bright And if I'm the last man standing, I'll stand for all that's right America's still standing tall tonight Now the world will long remember - the 11th of September America's bright blue skies burned red with fire Over calm Atlantic water our peaceful New York harbor No warning came - the year 2001 Now freedom calls a nation - and the latest generation Of Americans will stand and hear the call And when there's no more terror the world will watch in wonder At America standing straight and proud and tall America's still standing tall tonight With freedom's beacon shining strong and bright And if I'm the last man standing, I'll stand for all that's right America's still standing tall tonight

about

No American can ever erase the mental image of the Twin Towers' collapse. Parallels to the attack on America exactly 60 years earlier are inescapable. This ballad commemorates the story of a strong and enduring America still standing tall in the aftermath of both disasters.

Thanks for "Standing Tall For America."
